The Chamber Orchestra is intended to meet the needs of music students and very experienced amateurs. It will play a wide range of repertoire embracing the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries and will include Poulenc’s witty Sinfonietta and the sultry Summer Evening of Zoltán Kodály.


A major public concert in Sherborne Abbey will be given at the end of the week with a programme selected from the list below. To ensure a place in the orchestra, it is advised that early application is made.
