leader  Catherine Lawlor

John Georgiadis conductor

The Chamber Orchestra is intended to meet the needs of music students and very experienced amateurs. It will play a wide range of repertoire embracing the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries and will include Strauss’s witty but charming Suite Der Bürger als Edelmann and the beautiful Sinfonietta of Ernest Moeran.

A major public concert will be given at the end of the week in Sherborne Abbey with a programme selected from the list below. To ensure a place in the orchestra, it is advised that early application is made.
