Week 1

A course for accompanists of all standards dealing with all aspects of piano accompaniment from sight-reading to performance on the concert platform. A limited number of places will be available for instrumentalists wishing to play the set repertoire - they are also encouraged to bring works of their own choice.

The set repertoire will be studied in detail with a resident group of instrumentalists. At least two works should be prepared from the list but familiarity with as many as possible is desirable.

It is also intended that a joint masterclass will take place with the Masterclass for Singers. For this it is suggested that all members of the class prepare at least one song.
