Michael Pandya is a versatile young pianist specialising in song and chamber music. He has appeared in performance with many eminent singers and his performing schedule has taken him across the UK, Europe and the USA. Michael graduated from Queen’s College, Oxford with first class honours in 2015. There he directed several student operas and worked as a repetiteur with New Chamber Opera. He was also accompanist in residence at the Oxford Lieder Festival.
He recently won the Brenda Webb award for Accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music from which he graduated with a DipRAM. He has also received numerous other prizes including the Joan Chisells/Rex Stephens Schumann Lieder Prize, the Vivian Langrish Piano Prize and the Pianist Prize at the Rosenblatt North London Singing Competition as well as being a recipient of the Graham Johnson Fellowship at SongFest in Los Angeles.
Michael now studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and his teachers have included Julius Drake, Michael Dussek, James Baillieu, Ian Brown and Caroline Palmer. He has given recitals for the Park Lane Group and the Concordia Foundation and is a Samling Artist..
