Week 1

We will also study and sing the first nine movements from the Liebeslieder Walzer, Op.52 by Brahms (in the edition published by Simrock/Boosey & Hawkes). Please prepare a vocal part appropriate to your voice. It is also intended that a joint masterclass will take place with the Piano Accompaniment Course for which it is suggested that all members of the class prepare one piece from the following list:

Please remember to provide copies of all your songs for the accompanist and tutor. The course will give two public concerts at the end of the week. The selection of pieces and  participants for these concerts will be at the discretion of the course director and her professional colleagues. The class will be limited to twenty participating students, observers are also welcome.
