Tech University (USA). She is Director of Training for the Association of British Choral Directors and tutors on their extended courses. She also leads the Licentiate Diploma Course (Choral Conducting, Teaching) and takes the Undergraduate Aural Skills Choir at the Royal Academy of Music. Amy works closely with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain as both course director and regular Musicianship Tutor. In 2017, Amy was a clinician at the International Choral Conducting Summer School for the Association of Irish Choirs. She also taught on The Organ Scholar Experience course (TOSE) in Oxford, sharing the art of choral leadership with organists.

She has worked on BBC2’s The Choir: Sing While You Work and led choral direction training days for the Military Wives’ Choirs’ Foundation. As a teacher trainer/animateur, Amy has worked for Youth Music, Trinity/Open University, Glyndebourne Education, Sing for Pleasure and Music for Life. She has choral works published by Shawnee Press (USA) and Banks Music Publications (UK).

Amy is in great demand as a choral clinician, mentor and teacher and is currently Musical Director for Dorking Camerata, Holmbury Choral

Society and jNote Bene.


Amy Bebbington is a passionate advocate for choral singing and choral conductor training.  She is sought after for her dynamic and engaging teaching style and her wealth of choral pedagogical experience. Graduating with First Class Honours and a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance (UK), Amy went on to be awarded a Doctor of  Musical Arts, specialising in Choral Conducting, from Texas
